Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and creative WordPress Developer to design, implement, and manage websites for Karbonetics Inc. and our clients. The ideal candidate is proficient in WordPress development, has a strong eye for design, and is passionate about creating engaging, user-friendly websites.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Development & Design:
- Build and maintain responsive WordPress websites from concept to deployment.
- Customize themes and plugins to meet specific client and project requirements.
- Ensure websites are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
- Content Management:
- Update and manage website content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Integrate multimedia elements like images, videos, and interactive components.
- Technical Maintenance:
- Perform regular updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
- Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security measures.
- Optimize websites for SEO and loading speed.
- Collaboration & Project Management:
- Work closely with designers, content creators, and project managers to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Communicate project updates and timelines effectively with stakeholders.
- Innovation & Improvement:
- Research and implement new technologies, plugins, and design trends.
- Enhance the functionality of websites by integrating third-party APIs or custom code.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Strong portfolio showcasing WordPress projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with page builders such as Elementor or WPBakery.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools like Yoast SEO.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Design Skills:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools for graphic and web design.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles.
