Position Overview
We are looking for a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to join our Toronto-based team. The ideal candidate has a passion for crafting visually appealing and user-friendly digital experiences, from concept to execution. This role will involve close collaboration with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to create innovative designs that meet business goals and user needs.
Key Responsibilities
- User Interface Design:
- Design responsive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize design concepts.
- Ensure consistency in design elements and alignment with brand guidelines.
- User Experience Design:
- Conduct user research to understand target audiences and gather insights.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and workflows to inform design decisions.
- Optimize designs based on user feedback, analytics, and usability testing.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of designs into functional products.
- Communicate design ideas and rationale clearly to stakeholders and team members.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to projects.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in UI/UX design.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing products and propose creative solutions.
- Maintain an iterative design process to enhance product usability and appeal.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your work in web and mobile design.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge:
- Understanding of UX research methods and tools.
